Channel Tunnel Rail Link [CTRL] - Rail Link Engineering [RLE]

Construction work commenced in 1998 on the two sections of the 109km high-speed Channel Tunnel Rail Link (CTRL). The opening date of Phase 1, 74km, was 28 September 2003. The opening date of Phase 2, 39km, was 14 November 2007. Speeds of up to 186mph (300km/hr) make the journey time from St. Pancras International station to Paris, Lille and Brussels: 1hr 20min, 1hr 51min and 2hr 15min.
